Three thousand years ago, the Space Pirates Barban invaded Earth. The Gingamen, warriors of the Ginga Forest, fought the pirates with a mystical power and eventually imprisoned them. To keep the world safe, the Ginga people passed on the duties of the Ginga warriors through the generations.
